Violas
(Sorbet and Penny Series)

Violas are a wonderful addition for annual color in the fall through spring garden. These two series of violas are more heat tolerant, and can be planted earlier in the fall, plus will last longer in the spring without stretching from heat as quickly as pansies do. While the flowers individually are smaller than pansies, they tend to have more blossoms and make an outstanding color display. Sorbet and Penny remain compact in both heat and cold, making them great performers. The very free-flowering, 6 to 8-in. plants have excellent over-wintering ability. Both series have a variety of color choices. Sorbet has 33 varieties giving you a wide range of color and flower pattern options. Penny has numerous color options as well. Both plants do best in full sun. They like a well drained soil, and benefit from fertilization at planting and once or twice more throughout the growing season.
