Aztec VerbenaAztec Verbena is a short-lived perennial or annual depending on where you live in Arkansas. The northern third of the state will consider it more an annual, while in the central and southern part of Arkansas, you can expect it to live for two to three season, provided the winter soil is well drained. Does best in full sun. This trailing verbena thrives in heat and sun and produces lush plants. It has the widest color range of any verbena, with nine varieties available ranging from white and pink to red and purple. This plant can be used as a bedding plant, container or hanging basket plant. Blooms continually throughout the season since it does not set seed. For best flowering, plant in a well drained soil. Fertilize monthly with a complete fertilizer, and keep soil moist.
