Doublet Begonia
(Begonia ‘Doublet Series’)

Begonias are an old favorite in the flower garden. In recent years breeders have developed improved forms that grow in either sun or shade and flower throughout the summer. The Doublet Series of Wax Begonias are one such line that has all of the typical attributes of the wax begonia but adds double flowers that look much like tiny carnation blooms. Doublet Begonias are available in shades of pink, rose, red and white and are ideally suited for the flower bed or container. They work well in mixed containers with other annuals or can be used alone in hanging baskets.

  • Height: 10 to 12 inches.
  • Spread: 10 to 12 inches.
  • Exposure: Full sun to part shade.
  • Hardiness: A warm season annual that can be taken inside in the winter.
  • Planting Season: After the danger of frost.
  • Culture: Provide uniform moisture during the summer and fertilize periodically with a high-quality liquid fertilizer.
