Pink Wand Flower
(Gaura lindheimeri 'Siskyou Pink')

Pink Wand Flower is a native wildflower that has recently been domesticated for garden use. Usually Wand Flowers are white, but this selection out of the Pacific Northwest has cherry pink blooms. It blooms all summer on long open panicles from a leafy clump at the base of the plant. It always has an open, airy look. Pink Wand Flower is an excellent plant for adding to the mixed perennial border or for massing in front of a taller perennial such as the Russian Sage.

  • Height: 24 inches.

  • Spread: 24 inches.

  • Sun: Best in full sun.

  • Hardiness: Plants are hardy statewide and grow in zones 5 to 9.

  • Planting Season: Plant as soon as plants are available in the spring.

  • Cultural Comments: The plant forms a long tap root and should have well-drained soil. Once established, it is very drought tolerant.
