'Q' (Question)  When should I prune pussy willows and what type of fertilization is needed? Thanks for your help.

'A' (Answer)  Pussy willows are fast growing plants and usually don't need extra nitrogen, although you can use phosphorous. One application a year in the spring should suffice. Pruning is often done while they have their fuzzy "pussy toes" on them to use in decorations.
