'Q' (Question) (July) My question is about live oak trees in Little Rock. Do you think they would grow here and what nursery could I purchase them?

'A' (Answer)  Live oaks in Arkansas, will never reach the size and stature of the trees in Louisiana, but they will grow in the state. Central Arkansas is probably their northernmost range. We did have some plant damage, and even a few losses in severe winters in the 80's, but for the most part they are living. Visit with your local nurseryman. I am sure they can get you a tree.
