(May) I live in Jesseville and I recently found a group of 14 Lady Slippers.
I want to know if Lady Slippers are an endangered species. I have left them
where I found them, but I would love to move them into my yard.
To my knowledge lady slippers are not endangered, but we still don't recommend digging them from the wild. The yellow ones tend to be more hardy than the pink, but leave them where you found them‑‑unless it is your own property. There are nurseries that sell the plants–that would be the best way to incorporate all wildflowers into your landscape.
