(August) Now that we are at the end of the season of the Black-eyed Susan's, I
would like to take the seeds and put them in a field. There is no irrigation,
only what the rains bring. Any suggestions?
Once the seeds have fully dried, harvest them and hold on to them until later this fall. Prepare a site for them with compost or some organic matter if possible, and try to get rid of as many weeds and grass as possible. Sow the seeds in mid October. Fall usually has more natural rainfall and you should end up with stronger plants.
