(October) A couple years ago I bought a delightful pink aster with yellow
centers, but I can't remember what time of year I bought it. The plant thrived
and multiplied so well in my flower bed that early this spring my sweet husband
thought it was a weed and pulled it up. I'd like to buy another aster, haven’t
been able to find any. What time of year should I look for them?
Asters should be available now. They are often sold as fall bedding plants along with mums. I am surprised you can't find them. Check your local nursery. It may be you looked a week too early or they sold out. They can multiply in the garden. They are not considered one of the longest lasting perennials, but you should have it in the garden for a few years.
