(August) I have heard you can make your own insecticidal soap with Murphy's Oil soap.
What is the proper ratio of the mixture of Murphy's Oil Soap and water to make
Insecticidal Soap?
Making your own version of insecticidal soap is not hard, but the ratio varies based on the temperature outside. It is usually 1 teaspoon-1 tablespoon Murphy's Oil soap per gallon of water. Make sure your plants have ample moisture before spraying, but still use caution. When the temperatures are extremely high, you can have some burn with any pesticide -- organic or not. The oil can cause some phytotoxic results, so do a small trial spray.
