I would like to know how
to take care of the enclosed plant. It comes out good, but the leaves start to
die as soon as they open. What is the name of this plant and what can I do to
make it grow better?
The plant in question is a prayer plant. The sample you sent me was literally covered in spider mites. That is causing the mottling of the leaves and possibly the tip die-back. Be sure the isolate this plant from your other houseplants and use a houseplant insecticide to try to get a handle on the insects. Spider mites are not one of the easiest of insects to control, but in time they can be managed.
