(May) Could you
identify the weed shown in the attached photo? I've heard it called "sweetpea"
and "singletary pea" but it seems to be perennial, almost evergreen, deeply
rooted, and has withstood direct application of Roundup with only a yellowing
from which it quickly recovered. Do you have any idea how to kill it short of
grubbing it out with a backhoe?
The "weed" in question is a sweet pea, often grown as an ornamental. This far south, many people struggle getting it to grow and bloom, yet yours can't be killed --interesting! We need some of your plant to help give us a stronger plant for our landscapes. I am sure you would find many gardeners willing to dig it up for you.
